Community Letter Sent to EO Space Agency Directors Following the 2nd Workshop
Following the successful 2nd workshop held at ESA-ESRIN in September 2022, the organisers sent the below letter to the directors of Earth observation departments at the relevant space agencies. The letter details the work of the group to date, as well as the overarching vision of the group – to achieve a fully optimised and coordinated international SAR constellation, based on existing and planned missions among the space agencies – and the issues which must be address to achieve this vision. The recommendations from the 2nd workshop were also provided, alongside the request for support from agencies such that members can continue the work of the group.
